Senior Buyer/Planner

RecepTec Corp?a unit of Laird Technologies and a leading global supplier of antennas and reception systems to vehicle manufacturers worldwide?is expanding?its?purchasing team.? We are looking for qualified individuals who are ready to join a winning team in an innovative, high tech environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

????????? Schedule and order material needs based on forecasting analyses on history, sales forecast, lead-time, actual demand, etc.

????????? Coordinate procurement of materials for special projects and engineering samples.

????????? Review and sign Change Orders that affect purchased components.

????????? Serve as liaison between suppliers and Quality department

????????? Research sourcing for needed components, and request and negotiate price quotes and delivery time

????????? Conduct supplier audits as needed.

????????? Implement supplier changes; monitor their success or failure, and make adjustments as needed.

????????? Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels.

????????? Interface with Production Control, Sales, and Design Engineering to ensure new and existing products have continuous flow and reduce company?s overall risk exposure.

????????? Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels, tracking monthly inventory dollars, and estimating returns.

????????? Set up and maintain a template to measure cost savings.

????????? Provide quarterly status reports on reductions, supplier delivery, and inventory.

????????? Work with Q A on quality problems with subcontractors and discuss monthly in Purchasing meeting.

????????? Track monthly past-due suppliers and develop Action Items.

???????? Responsible for specific tasks as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS:

????????? Ability to use economic indicators, true costs, and pricing to achieve price stability and improve price forecasting

????????? Experience using strategic and tactical techniques for turning opponents into allies and the ability to determine critical facts about the supplier required

????????? MRP knowledge

????????? Good communication skills, both written and oral

????????? Experience developing strategic alliances globally with suppliers plus??????????????? ???????

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

????????? Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent education and/or experience

????????? At least 10 years purchasing experience in manufacturing environment

????????? Previous negotiating experience
