Senior Maintenance Analyst

The Orange County Transportation Authority is currently recruiting for a Senior Maintenance Analyst to help meet the challenges of maintaining a fleet of over 550 buses to keep up with Orange County?s growing transportation needs.  Recently, OCTA was recognized by the American Public Transportation Association as the number 1 Transportation Organization in the United States in 2005! 

 

In this critical position you would act as a budget administrator for the Maintenance Department. You would prepare monthly performance reports for OCTA?s management team from collected statistical data and present your findings.  You would also administer various maintenance reports and prepare statistical analysis of fleet efficiencies and provide recommendations in areas that need improvement. 

 

Critical Success Factors
Knowledge of management/administration practices, project management, problem solving, research/statistical methods, and vehicle maintenance technology. Ability to analyze/interpret automated and technical data, work with mathematical concepts and statistics, conduct computerized presentations and training sessions, participate in maintenance audits and prepare reports.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in business administration or public transportation. Five years experience in vehicle maintenance in any combination of craftsman or management positions. Must be proficient with computers and be familiar with database and spreadsheet programs.
