Senior Production Coordinator, Production Planning

We have an immediate career opportunity for a Sr. Production Coordinator in our Production Planning and Scheduling group. This is a challenging role in which you will have the opportunity to develop your problem solving skills and demonstrate your production control knowledge while you work with some of the most advanced projects in the satellite industry.

 

You will be responsible for the production control shop floor activity for several functional work centers for satellite assembly. You will operate a series of complex manufacturing work centers ensuring part fabrication and test assembly operations. You will also route fabricated parts and assemblies through the work centers, control all work in process (WIP) ensuring 100% accuracy of shop floor control, and obtain all resources for manufacturing.

 

In addition, you will resolve complex constraints for any WIP that may cause schedule delays, problem-solve all audit issues on work centers; perform internal and external expediting of critical parts, initiate and process scrap tags, and process miscellaneous issue requests. You will also maintain the in/out logs for work orders using MRP, close all work orders to stores, and ensure all requirements for work orders are issued prior to closing. You will interface with mid management, provide information to others on internal processes, and support special projects as required.


Minimum Requirements: High School degree or equivalent plus one year advanced education or training and six years manufacturing support experience, including two to four years of production control. APICS certification, some MRP experience, and general computer skills are preferred.
