Service Associate

Description:
Responsible for responding to inquiries, solving problems, and ensuring client satisfaction with products and service. Coordinates with account manager to ensure needs are met and potential problems are averted. Keeps account manager informed of account status and opportunities for expanded business. May make on-site presentations to existing clients to educate and inform..To provide excellent customer service to the Sales distribution channel for CIGNA Healthcare and to respond to requests for information using analytical skills to respond in an accurate and timely manner.
Ability to analyze, audit and develop recommendations to achieve the "best in class" relationship with this distribution channel.
Consistently demonstrate strong planning, organizational and time management skills.
Data entry and maintain all fax transactions, systems reports, profiles, etc. into an Access tracking database.
Service and respond to all producer compensation 800 line communications (oral) and producer email communications (written)in a clear and concise manner within 24 hours.
Educate and drive compliance of administrative policies and procedures to our matrix partners (Sales, Underwriting, Billing, etc.).
Identify procedural problems and make well thought out suggestions for improvement..CIGNA is looking for experienced Service Associate to join the CIGNA team as a dedicated on site resource for a large local school district. Strong proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint along with the ability to consistently meet deadlines, juggle numerous priorities while delivering superior customer service are essential elements to the success of this role.

This individual will report to the Human Resources Benefits Coordinator at the customer location and be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of benefit administration including:

-Implement new benefit programs
-Design and conduct benefit information presentations and enrollments.
-Initiate, process and maintain all benefit changes on computer and paper systems, assist employees in understanding benefit options, maintain employee benefit files, and manage insurance billing process
-Update employee eligibility data and assist HR Benefits Coordinator with all benefit related duties.
-Verify calculations on monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain data relative to premiums, claims and cost as well as resolve all administrative problems.

As the on-site Service Associate, the individual will partner with CIGNA's account management team to ensure a consistently high level of service delivery.

Minimum of 3 years of benefits experience or related benefits administration along with an undergraduate degree or comparable work experience..

Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a stressful environment.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Acts independently requiring minimal direction.
Team player.
Results oriented with attention to detail.
Basic math skills required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word & Outlook)..
