Job Overview

We are looking for a Special Products Assistant to assist the Director of Special Products, Insurance & Investment Advisory and to support Florida Financial Advisors in their sales efforts relating to Mutual Funds, Managed Money, Fee-Based Accounts, ETFs and Closed-End Funds. Major responsibilities include the following:

 Assist financial advisors in preparation of presentations for various managed money products and accounts. Prepare Snapshot reports, mutual fund comparative reports and Morningstar reports for financial advisors in Florida branchesRespond to all broker inquiries regarding mutual funds, UITs, Managed Money Accounts, ETFs and Closed-End funds. Assist in the write-up and distribution of IPO and Hedge Fund information. Maintain supply of related literature. Research mutual funds, current news, and changes relating to mutual funds. Prepare mutual fund hypotheticals using Thomson?s ?Investment View? program. Assist Dir. SIIA with secretarial and clerical duties including typing letters, typing proposals, typing reports, filing, recordkeeping, accounting for departmental PTO and absences. Plan and schedule meetings with wholesalers when needed. Order and maintain marketing materials related to Mutual Funds, Unit Investment Trusts, and Managed Money programs. Manage procedures for obtaining, completing and filing ?Selling Agreements? from Fund Companies.

 

Skills and Requirements include:

 

? 2 years hands on experience with Mutual Funds, Managed Money and Unit Investment Trusts or related experience

? Series 7, 63, & 65 preferred.

? Excellent organizational skills and attentive to details.

? Proficient PC skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

? Ability and enthusiasm to learn and use other software as needed.

? Strong interpersonal & communication (oral & written) skills with ability to interact professionally with all personnel and all levels of management.

? Ability to work under pressure.

? Willingness and enthusiasm to initiate new assignments when necessary.
