Special Projects Assistant
Medical Services of America, Inc. began providing home health services in 1973. Since then the Company has grown into an international corporation with more than 200 locations throughout the East, Midwest, and Southeast as well as in the Philippines.
Community Home Health, a division of Medial Services of America, Inc. currently has a unique opening in their Owings Mills office for a Special Projects Assistant. Qualified candidates should have superior computer skills, excellent communications skills, and possess the ability to multi-task.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
1. Type, copy, and distribute various correspondence, reports and memos for the Agency Staff.
2. Track weekly Patient Care Coordinator and Account Executive paperwork.
3. Assist Patient Care Coordinators and Account Executives with educational projects.
4. Track NTUCs (patients not taken under care).
5. Take minutes at meetings as directed and compose written copy. Distribute minutes to appropriate personnel.
6. Maintain and update agency census.
7. Open, sort and distribute appropriate mail to the Administrator.
8. Create and maintain filing system for the Administrator.
9. Assist with purchase orders and office supplies and miantain spreadsheet of purchase location.
10. Assist the Staff Development Department with typing of Clinical Policies and Proceedures with revision of clinical forms as needed.
11. Assist the Human Resources Department as needed.
12. Complete various projects as assigned.
13. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:
1. High School graduate with minimum of three years progressive business experience in a health care setting.
2. Proficient in word processing, desktop publishing and preadsheet software.
3. Typing skills of 55 WPM.
4. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
