Job Description: The Hanover Insurance Group is searching for a Speciality Underwriting Assistant

Position Summary:
Rates and executes bonds, riders, endorsements, indemnity agreements and cancellation notices of certain types and limits within authority. Provide clerical support for UW's, gather and analyze bond information

Position Responsibilities:

Analyze underwriting data and relay decisions to agents and clients

Underwrite bond business within authority guidelines

Visit agencies

Visit county courts to perform record checks of bond cases

Order credit reports and other required UW information

Perform financial statement analysis

Additional Qualifications:

Good communication and telephone skills

Typing and data entry

Highly motivated

Detail oriented

Strong technical knowledge

2 years work experience

Educational Expectations:

Associate Degree preferred
