IDS Engineering's Mechanical Engineering Directorate (MED) leads in mechanical hardware design, development and production of radar, sonar, torpedo and combat system equipment. The MED uses state-of-the-art tools, processes technology and Raytheon Six Sigma principles.

Job Description: Examines engineering drawings, Mentor Computer Aided Design databases and related printed wiring board (PWB) fabrication / assembly tools for design completeness, clarity, dimensional accuracy, correctness of materials, fabrication / assembly processes and conformity to design / drafting standards / specifications (including Military, IPC and Raytheon). An understanding of PWB manufacturing (fabrication) and assembly methods are major requirements.

Required Skills: Must be self directed, have excellent communication skills, team orientated with a working knowledge of Valor ( DRC verification tool ) related Valor External Reference files, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Microsoft Word / Excel and a familiarity with Mentor Board station software.

Desired Skills: Familiar with Pantheon PWB / MCM / Hybird / LTCC design software and Mentor Hyper-lynx Signal Integrity Analysis software.

Required Education(including Major): Minimum education requirement is an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Associates Degree or related experience.
