Sr. Operations Coordinator - Carpet Planner
GES Exposition Services, a leading tradeshow and event marketing company, is seeking a high-energy, growth-oriented professional with demonstrated leadership abilities, integrity and passion for hassle-free service for the position of Sr. Operations Coordinator - Carpet Planner for the Lindell facility in Las Vegas, NV.
General Responsibilities:
Aisle carpet/booth carpet package planning on shows utilizing AutoCad.
Proactively seek out 2nd use carpet opportunities and reduce carpet expense and labor costs.
Prepare aisle carpet spotting plans as requested by Ops Teams.
Pipe and drape count ordering utilizing AutoCad.
Provide back-up support for Layout program utilizing AutoCad.
Data entry in Show Services for delivery zones, and running delivery reports for Ops Teams.
Run floor numbers/labels.
Proactively assist Ops Teams with checklist of requirements for all upcoming shows.
Assist at showsite or marshalling yard as needed.
Support other Operations Coordinators as needed for Freight, GEM systems rentals, and other miscellaneous lines of business.
Education/Experience:
Experience with AutoCad preferred
Two to three years in a customer service environment preferred.
Possess leadership ability.
Must be proficient in MS Office programs.
Trained in FMS and Reflections programs is preferred.
Skills/Competencies:
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with minimal supervison
Must have excellent communication skills, be a team player, and self-starter with an understanding of team goals.
Special Considerations:
Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Work is performed in office conditions, involving sitting some of the time.
Work may involve repetitive motion (i.e. constant keying, using fingers, or using mouse for computer)
Work for long periods of time and be able to walk great distances on show floor.
