Sr. Supply Chain Analyst

Basic Function   This job exists to analyze and improve international supply chain operation processes and procedures, and to develop and oversee programs and procedures that support International Supply Chain strategies and tactics.

 

Basic Accountabilities 
Oversees the development of processes and methods for gathering data required to monitor and evaluate international supply base performance.
Identifies and develops process improvement opportunities to support the efficient and effective operations of the supply chain.
Leads supply chain performance improvement projects and develops implementation plans.
Analyzes key metrics and reports, proving recommendations and action plans to Sourcing and Business/Product Support.
Team member for  Enterprise and Divisional cost savings and supply chain optimization projects.
Team member - Procurement/Supply Chain planning committee, facilitating the review of supply chain operational processes, programs and procedures.
Develop methods and reporting processes for supplier and procurement compliance to divisional social and customs compliance policies and guidelines ? providing process improvement recommendations to management.

 

Requirements 
Broad understanding of MeadWestvaco?s Low Cost Country Sourcing and Business/Product Support strategies.
Broad understanding of MeadWestvaco?s organization, interdependencies, demand planning and build logic methodology.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, SAP, Business Warehouse and database programs. 
Strong analytical skills and expertise in setting up and using advanced spreadsheets and PC database
Strong organization skills with attention to detail and follow up.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interpret corporate and divisional policy/procedures and develop analytical reporting.
Ability to communicate with internal and external customers as well as multiple sites and locations.
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.
Bachelors degree in business with five years experience, or equivalent work history.
Certification in A.P.I.C.S. a plus.
