Student Services Administrator

We are currently looking for a Student Services Administrator to serve as Ashford University?s first impression to the public, in person and over the phone

 

Qualifications:

? Bachelor?s degree from a Regionally Accredited or approved Nationally Accredited Institution

? Two (2) years of customer service related professional work experience strongly preferred

? Demonstrated effective critical thinking and decision making skills

? Excellent oral and written communication skills

 

Primary Function/Purpose of Position:

Responsible for interacting with all customers in an effective and professional manner; Answering administrative office incoming calls, providing excellent customer service in resolving customer inquiries or forwarding to the appropriate party when additional assistance is required; Greeting administrative office visitors, providing excellent customer service in resolving customer inquiries or routing to the appropriate party when additional assistance is required; Maintaining CVue data integrity for term and course creation for online offerings, providing schedule visibility four (4) years into the future; Maintaining online course offerings to optimize group size and faculty load; Monitoring attendance, grades, proficiency, and progression issues and CVue activity creation to ensure appropriate student support and service; Communicating daily/weekly with Academic Affairs, Student Services, Financial Services and Enrollment departments regarding faculty assignments, group size, and entry point opportunities; Forecasting and resolving group size, student and faculty opportunities before conflict arises; Following operating policies and exercising independent judgment in resolution of issues; Understanding and pursuit of the Ashford University vision and mission.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

? Total Enrollment ? Entry, Persistence, Progression, Reentry, and Completion

? Answer all incoming calls, resolve inquiries where possible or route appropriately

? Greet all administrative office visitors, resolve inquiries where possible or route appropriately

? Management of CVue data integrity: Terms, Courses, and Group Size 

? Query CVue reports as necessary and provide accurate reporting

? Monitor student attendance, grades, proficiency, and progression to optimize persistence

? Assign CVue activities to appropriate staff members to alert them of required work flow

? Develop rapport and constructive working relationships with all internal and external customers

? Daily/Weekly correspondence via phone and email with all affected parties regarding group size

? Interpret and communicate Ashford University policies and procedures accurately

? Adherence to all Ashford University and external regulatory agency policies and procedures

? Communicate ideas for policy and procedure improvements that create greater efficiency

? Continually uphold the mission and strategic objectives of Ashford University

 

Software Knowledge:

? Proficient in Microsoft? Office Word?, Excel?, Outlook?, and PowerPoint? applications

? Proficient in database contact management applications and contact management strategies
