System Administrator for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR system. Responsibilities include 2nd level Help Desk support, including system/application monitoring and analysis; problem identification and resolution; researching user issues and questions; documenting and reporting Production system incidents; developing and maintaining related Standard Operating Procedures; interfacing with the customer for problem resolution; analyzing and completing data correction requests; and performing other tasks as needed with minimal supervision. Position requires broad understanding of distributed/networked computer systems, computer platforms, operating systems, network protocols, and application processes. Position requires frequent customer meetings to resolve issues. Position requires performing complex analyses of system issues including producing and evaluating performance/capacity metrics. Position requries administrators with high degree of responsibility with exceptional emphasis on quality. Postion requires ability to exercise proper judgment to select optimal solutions and precision and accuracy in implementing detailed solutiuons are required with minimal errors. Position requires ability to support a 7 AM to 7 PM system support schedule, Monday through Friday. Occasional extended hours and weekend work.
