Technical Specialist

Incumbent will assume the role of Technical Specialist supporting sales, manufacturing, marketing, QA and R&D. Initiates, coordinates and supervises the execution of technical activities to enhance growth and ensure quick turn-around to customers. Visits customers in support of sales and initiates and designs lab projects independently leading to significant business growth. Solves customer problems, develops new technical data/formulations and supports new product development. This position is part of a progression of jobs in a job family that contains several levels. The level in which this position is filled will be appropriate to the skills/experience of the successful candidate.

Minimum BS degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum of 10 years technical service experience with proven direct customer interaction or equivalent combination of advanced education and lesser experience required. Solid technical knowledge in the technology and compounding of materials for the chemical bonding/coating of durable non-woven materials, such as for insulation, flooring and filtration applications. Excellent planning, organizing and verbal communication skills required. Proficient in Microsoft Office package. Advanced technical degree is preferred. Compounding experience in the development of products for Industrial Adhesive Applications.
