Description:
QVC?s Distribution Division has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become a Department Specialist in our Human Resources Offices at our Suffolk location.

Under the general supervision of the Associate HR Manager, provides administrative and clerical support for the department. Support in all facets of recruiting. This entails coordinating job fairs, initial prescreening questions with applicants, scheduling interviews and maintaining and updating the online applicant database. Tracks pre-employment screenings-drug testing and background checks. Makes job offers to external candidates and schedules start dates as needed. Maintains Drop Out Rate Report. Assembles new folders, applicant files, and all relevant paperwork, purging files as necessary. Utilizes a variety of computer software applications, i.e., Word, Excel, Access, Lotus Notes and Lotus Organizer to track department statistics and generate reports and department communications. Answers department telephones, interfaces in a professional manner with multi-levels of management, takes and relays messages as needed. Responds to inquiries within scope of knowledge and authority and/or refers callers to the appropriate department personnel. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications & Requirements:
? High School diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience
? Two- (2) years experience with PC technology and applicable database and spreadsheet packages
? 1-3 years administrative support experience?Preferably in a Human Resources environmnent
? Good Organizational skills to handle multiple phone lines
? Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
? Must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, be a self-starter and be able to work independently
