Trade Support Analyst

The candidate will have primary responsibility for support of trading system applications and customers, including issue resolution, tracking and status reporting. They will monitor a high-volume Help Desk located in the trading room to provide first-level support to users of investment and trading applications. They will work with users in trading, investments and back-office, and systems professionals to investigate and solve system issues and participate in business analysis, requirements definition, and testing. This hands-on professional will be providing Level 1 production support. Level 1 support may require the candidate be available on nights or weekends.

The successful candidate will have solid organizational, client relationship skills, interpersonal and communication skills, excellent analytical skills. The ability to multi-task and to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and solution-oriented environment are a must.

Required Background:
Bachelor?s degree in business, MIS, Computer Science or related field. Previous relevant experience without such a degree will be considered
Previous experience supporting investment professionals in a help desk environment.
Previous experience operating/testing Unix, Oracle or Sybase, and client/server applications
Demonstrated client relationship and analytical problem solving skills

Desired Experience
Previous experience/knowledge of the investment and trading process
Technical knowledge of Putnam?s trading systems
Previous experience training users in use of automated tools
Previous experience with FIX and electronic trade processing
