Value Chain Specialist

Under close supervision from the Business Development Manager responsible, implement value chain strategies for BASF portfolio, providing leadership and business direction as documented in product concepts and marketing and communications plans. Executes strategies from marketing plans by cooperating in the activities of marketing, new business development, tech services, sales, strategic accounts, adjusting as needed.

B.A. or B.S. required, MS or MBA preferred - Technical and Business disciplines. This position requires training in business and agronomic disciplines, and equivalent experience  in sales, marketing, and business development or similar.
Seven (7) - Ten (10) years related experience in Agribusiness, with at least three (3) - four  (4) years sales or technical experience.
Two (2) - three (3) years marketing or business support experience with corporate farms and/or  processor business interaction.
Proven capacity from measurable success in creative marketing applications resulting in  sales/profitability goal attainment.
In depth knowledge of the agricultural market with the ability to anticipate trends based on  changes in technology.
Proven ability to build strong and sustainable business relationships. MS or MBA Preferred.
