Worlers Compensation Administrator

Description:

Job Purpose: Help control workers' compensation costs by managing medical cases.

Duties:
* Investigates accidents by interviewing victim and witnesses; evaluating incident and medical reports.

* Keeps track of all steps and activities related to injured employee's treatment and recovery.

 

* Determines if employee is following the recovery plan as determined by the Physician managing the case, and that pay reflects this.  This may require making contact with both medical personnel and insurance clains adjusters.

 

*Maintains contact and dialog with employee to make sure the company is giving the injured emotional support as required.


* Monitors medical bills by verifying required documents.

* Secures reimbursement by submitting subrogation claims and criminal cases if appropriate.

* Maintains records by updating records management system.

* Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.

* Assist Supervisors in finding Light Duty Work Assignments.


* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Work Schedule:  This is a part time position, so the hours and days worked are very flexible, based on the case load.  The successful candidate may be able to carry out some of the required tasks from a home office.
