Account Manager

Carter Advertising is a fast-growing, hard-working, creative, and dare-we-say-charming, intelligent group of professionals. Our offices are located in north Atlanta, three exits outside the perimeter. Our clients span the US in geography, and cross all media types in need.

What we do for our clients is provide niche advertising services. Specifically, we are a recruitment advertising firm that specializes in trucking and transportation. We are unique in our market, in that we truly are a multi-disciplinary advertising agency, and are focused on providing a full range of strategic services from newspaper and other print advertising to Internet, radio, direct mail, and things that have yet to be discovered. Your imagination is the limit, as long as it moves needles for our clients.

We are currently looking for a talented Account Manager, who has proven skills supervising advertising accounts (recruitment advertising preferred). You should be comfortable as the front-line strategist and leader of a forward-thinking account team. An understanding of the trucking industry is golden, but if you don't know a deadhead mile from a lumper, we'll teach you and you can dazzle your friends next time you're on the highway.

In short, you'll be responsible for keeping your accounts on budget, on goal, and constantly ahead of the market and their competitors. You'll have tons of support from other departments, senior managers, and from your account team, but you'll be the captain of the ship.

Specifically, we ask that you be:- Very detail oriented

- Comfortable dealing with senior level contacts on the client side on a daily basis (typically via phone, but also in person, leading meetings)

- Able to manage others and maximize their talents (one direct report)

- Able to work with talented people from other departments to collectively produce great advertising

- Familiar with various types of media

- Able to handle a high-volume of work

- Able to help clients understand emerging advertising opportunities
