ASP.NET/C# Web Developer

SendTec, a high-growth award-winning marketing services company that is on the vanguard of integrating on-line and off-line direct response marketing has an opening for an ASP.NET/C# Web Developer in our St. Petersburg, Fl office.

 

Position Overview

This position will primarily be responsible for design, development, and maintenance of new client applications along with performing maintenance and enhancements to existing applications.

 

Daily activities may include the following and are in particular order of importance:  develop web applications, resolve application errors or issues, provide timeline updates to project manager and lead developer, provide application support to internal staff.  Experience in the complete product development lifecycle including the gathering of requirements, writing technical design specifications, developing code, testing and deploying the final solution.

 

The Web Developer will report directly to the Lead Developer.  The Web Developer will not have any direct reports or management duties.

 

 

Essential Job Functions

? Minimum of 3 years application development experience using ASP.NET, C#, classic ASP, XML, SQL 2000, HTML, JavaScript, IIS Web Services

? Knowledge of SQL Server 2000

? Experience with ASP.NET 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005 is preferred

? Experience working with version control software such as Source Safe

? Experience developing queries and stored procedures in Microsoft SQL Server

? Able to work both independently and with a team depending on assignment

? UI Design Skills

? Excellent communication skills

? Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

? Organization and time management

? Documentation and communication skills

? Ability to communicate with IT staff on issues

Requirements

? BS in Computer Science or 3 to 4 years of IT related work experience

? 2 or more years of ASP.NET/C# experience

? Excellent verbal and written communication skills

? 2+ years of college experience

? Ability to prepare presentations and deliver them

? Attention to detail

? E-Commerce experience a plus

 

Other Skills/Abilities

? Basic knowledge of programming and computer engineering

? Ability to test deliverable products for verification of stated project objectives

? Certification in web application development desired
