ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer and working closely with other members of senior management on a daily basis, you will be responsible for defining communications objectives and identifying strategies to promote the company and management. Other responsibilities include working with legal, regulatory and medical affairs and other internal departments to ensure that all PR communications adhere to internal and external pharmaceutical guidelines and policies; overseeing the coordination of the annual report; and key advocate development training. You will also liaise with cross functional teams including marketing and R&D to develop and implement effective communication strategies, with HR on internal coordination and with IT for website coordination; and support internal communications with planned announcements and events to foster a corporate culture of open communication. Drafting press releases and conference call scripts for management review; monitoring industry trends and news coverage; developing issues management plans and procedures; and updating internal teams are other responsibilities.

Requirements include a Bachelor?s Degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or related field and a minimum of 8-10 years PR experience on the corporate or agency side. Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry experience is a plus. Knowledge of new and emerging public relations/communications tools, demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, changing environment, and the ability to execute plans with strong ownership are also required.
