The Washington Post, one of the nation?s premier newspapers, is seeking a highly motivated outside sales professional to fill an Account Management role in our Automotive Advertising Department/Cars.com. Responsible for new and continued business development, you will use a consultative sales approach in order to provide our clients with targeted advertising strategies that positively affect their bottom line.
Our online automotive advertising sales team partners with new and existing automotive clients to plan and execute successful advertising campaigns. Sales reps in this group focus on sales of online advertising, representing The Washington Post and Cars.com.

Build new advertising business while managing and nurturing existing accounts; propose advertising recommendations based on clients? business plans and budget; provide consultative advice and ideas, and promote product options.  Requires superior client service, strong presentation and in-person sales skills, ability to analyze clients' advertising and marketing needs, confidence in your sales ability, a proven track record in building and sustaining client-based relationships, and the personal initiative to consistently achieve above goal in a sales environment.  Advanced sales, negotiating, account management, business development, and closing experience required, along with strong internet skills and understanding. We seek a professional who has enthusiasm for selling and proven positive results as a persuasive communicator. Automotive industry experience a plus. Outside sales and cold calling experience required.  Bachelor's degree preferred.
