Ad Sales Account Manager

Adweek Magazines, the complete source of advertising industry news and information for advertising executives, has a Los Angeles based sales position for a dynamic, energetic self starter. Minimum 3 years selling or media agency experience, an understanding of consumer media desired (i.e. magazines, tv, radio, new media).  Creative thinker, great presenter, hard worker, and proven go-getter all required. Some travel required.

 



Job Responsibilities:

 

Prospects, builds relationships and sells advertising programs in a consultative manner by using all facets available including print online conferences and custom publishing.  T



Maintain active and professional contact with all actual and potential accounts within territory. 



Prospect and develop new business as well as service and renew existing accounts. 



Work with magazine management to establish specific goals relating to advertising sales, trade shows, schedules, account contact, letter writing and other follow-up procedures, call reports, etc.  Submit a call report for all in-person calls.



Develop new business strategies while working with management to break selected targeted accounts



 

Qualifications:



Must have 3-5 years media sales/agency experience Client-focused



Consultative selling skills a must, as well as the ability to creatively sell cross platform, multi-media programs.



Eeffective written, verbal and presentation skills essential. 



Must be highly proficient in Excel, Word, ACT and PowerPoint Customer Management and Database Systems a plus. 



High energy and self motivated,Team player, Quick Learner.



Excellent phone skills/presentation and the ability to develop relationships as well as excellent customer service skills. 



BA or BS preferred.
