Ad Traffic Manager 

 

Hanley Wood, LLC, the premier business-to-business media network serving the residential and commercial construction industries, has an opening for an Ad Traffic Manager to support our Magazine Division. Reporting to the Director of Production, this individual will ensure that all display advertising magazines run correctly per instructions from advertiser, ad agencies, sales staff, and other sources.

 

The ideal candidate will make sure that all scheduled advertisers are included in the magazine layout and that the printer has all of the necessary instructions to print the ad as requested by the advertiser in order to produce error free issues and eliminate the loss of revenue on ?make goods?.

 

Duties include: ensure that ads run correctly in magazines, review insertion orders for proper production instructions and placement, update pertinent info in ad database (Datatrax), contact advertisers and sales staff concerning deadlines and ad production information, place ad files into page layout, approve the ad proofs, and work with the Production Manager to maintain the schedule, and additional magazine production duties.

 

Candidates should be fast-paced, well-organized individuals who can thrive in a deadline-oriented environment.  Customer service strengths are required with the interaction between advertisers and sales staff.

 

Experience:

Word, Excel, and Database skills (Datatrax a plus)

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Pre-press and printing knowledge

Some experience with graphic software such as Quark or InDesign desirable

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following:  Bachelors degree; minimum of 2 years experience managing ongoing and often different production cycles concurrently; Pre-press and printing specification knowledge; Datatrax experience is desirable.
