Advertising Sales Executive ? Fun Media Company, Manhattan

sell advertising to clients based here in the US, into magazines that are
published by media companies from around the world. We are a British-run
company, and try to combine the best of both American and European working practices. That means you get no vacation, but we're really fun to work for!

We are looking for a dynamic, intelligent, charismatic and hard-working executive to work ? and have fun - based in our New York Empire State Building office. You would be taking over a buoyant and active territory from a colleague who has left to pursue personal interests and who was extremely successful here ? leaving you the opportunity to benefit from much ground work over the past 2 years. Of course that means we expect a lot from you ? but you?re not scared of that, are you?

 

The role is to sell advertising, in the Eastern region of US & Canada, to companies and advertising agencies into our range of around 100 Computer publications from 25 countries, and their related websites. We work with major publishers around the world, and also many large advertiser clients such as Computer Associates.

Duties will include creating proposals, day-to-day sales work with clients, obtaining information from our publisher partners, and fact-finding calls to establish potential new clients ? most importantly selling advertising space to reach goals, and liaising effectively with our publisher partners. There is an element of both domestic and International travel, and you would report to the East Coast regional director Frank Lascari.

We are a fun, "family and team" type of company - we work hard but have a

The ideal candidate will have some advertising sales experience, but we will be interested in talking to you if you have an easily transferable work experience. We will provide full training and every encouragement to motivate your success - but I want a self-starter who is intelligent, dynamic, and driven, with a high degree of work ethic.


Basic salary of $35-$42,000 depending on relevant experience, plus a generous commission and bonus scheme that would mean around $30,000 for reaching target and objectives, plus unlimited ongoing commission for over-target achievement
