Assistant Director of Marketing
The Princeton Review, the nation's leader in standardized test preparation, is looking for an Assistant Director of Marketing for our San Diego office located in the La Jolla/UTC area. The San Diego location runs courses throughout the San Diego area. This position offers immediate responsibility and growth potential in a challenging, creative atmosphere that rewards smart, hard-working, independent, and slightly irreverent people.
The primary goal for the Assistant Director of Marketing is to market The Princeton Review, our products, and services in San Diego.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
? Create and execute annual local marketing plan, based on corporate plan
? Generate prospects through grassroots marketing and advertising
? Produce, order, and distribute marketing collateral
? Create and execute successful direct mail and advertising campaigns
? Develop and maintain community presence, specifically on college campuses and local high schools
? Coordinate and manage free events, including free tests, counselor events, parent nights, and strategy sessions
? Work with high school counselors and student groups on college campuses to promote The Princeton Review
? Maintain and direct campus flyering efforts
? Build prospect database and convert prospects into students
? Track marketing and sales in weekly reports
Requirements:
? Bachelor's Degree
? Unflagging enthusiasm for helping students achieve their goals and for promoting The Princeton Review
? Strong organizational and planning skills
? Outgoing personality and ability to speak in front of large groups
? Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, hectic environment under tight time constraints
? Fearlessness!
? Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
? Aptitude for solving problems and making decisions with minimal supervision
? Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends when required
? Knowledge of or experience with graphics/design software a plus (PageMaker, other)
? Physical requirements include occasionally moving, lifting and transporting boxes of marketing collateral and conversing with prospects and students.
