A well-known Institution in the Metro DC area has a phenomenal temporary position for an Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications.  This individual should be capable of managing and implementing marketing efforts that promote higher education.  The ideal candidate should have sharp communication skills and experience working in higher education or with non-profit organizations.  An active knowledge of the full complement of marketing services, including market research, proposals, advertising, promotion, collateral development, public relations, customer relationship management, broadcast and digital media, is key for this dynamic opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:


Develop, manage and implement integrated marketing communications strategies

Oversee budgets, maintain records and obtain required vendor and human resources

Plan and implement strategies that effectively market programs and services

Supervise marketing and communications staff and student workers.

Collect market research data

Assist with brand identity and marketing communications development

Present to prospective clients



QUALIFICATIONS:


Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Communication

4+ years of professional experience in marketing or communications, with experience in an academic setting preferred

Experience using research data to guide marketing and communication strategies

Superior interpersonal and leadership skills paired with high functionality in teams for productive collaboration with multiple audiences

Experience in personnel management and motivation

Ability to work with external marketing partners and internal partners to provide services to external clients

Graphics skills are a plus
