Title: Assistant Manager, Operations

 

Location: EMAK Worldwide ? Los Angeles, CA

 

Primary Responsibilities: Manage the logistics, demand forecasting, and materials management for major clients.

 

Logistics

 

? Quote ocean air, trucking, and warehousing costs for program pitches and update all costs for final budgets.

? Research tariff codes and provide duty rates for budgeting.

? Work closely with ocean carriers and freight forwarders on rate changes, service agreements, spot quotes, and billing issues.

? Track inbound containers from Asia to all destination ports, provide shipping documentation to freight forwarder to ensure timely customs clearance, and work with forwarding agents to ensure proper delivery is made to client.

? Handle all shipping related transactions and communicate with warehouses.

? Assist with client order routing as necessary.

 

Demand Planning/Forecasting

 

? Coordinate with Hong Kong on all production related issues.  

? Incorporate customer forecasts and transaction data into the demand forecast.

?  Analyze sales, inventory and trend information to build and adjust forecasts.

? Strategize contingency plans when schedules slip and work with Sales/Marketing team to execute plans and notify clients.

? Provide support for internal teams (product development, marketing, etc.)

 

 

Requirements

 

? Bachelor?s Degree preferred

? Minimum 3 ? 4 years of relevant experience with Supply Chain Management.

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

?  Experience with SAP or demand planning systems preferred.

? Must have great attention to detail and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
