The Dallas Market Center is looking for two Assistant Managers to join its Marketing team; one Assistant Manager will provide marketing support for the Lighting, Home, & Home Accents industries, and the other will provide support for the Gift and Floral industries.  The Assistant Managers will use their sales and relationship building skills to attract new stores to the Dallas Market Center and create loyalty amongst first time buyers.  The responsibilities for both positions are as follows:

 

?  Will assist to secure buyer attendance through various marketing vehicles- strategic travel incentives, etc.

o Research and recruit prospective stores by category of merchandise

o Create loyalty of new buyers brought in on incentive programs

?  Exhibitor relations- will assist in building relationships with permanent and temporary exhibitors. 

?  Retailer relations- will continually contact and reach out to audience to build rapport in order to encourage loyalty to the DMC marketplace.

o The Lighting/Home & Home Accents Assistant Manager will also need to build relationships with Decorators and Designers

?  Database Maintenance- will maintain and update the database of prospective and VIP retailers

?  Travel may be required

Qualifications

?  Bachelor?s degree in Marketing, Interior Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field is preferred

?  1-3 years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Interior Design, or a related field

?  An affiliation with ASID and/or IIDA is helpful for the Lighting/Home & Home Accents position

?  Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access

?  Willing and able to travel occasionally
