The Category Brand Building Associate Insight Manager will be responsible for assisting in:driving insight activities in support of the development, execution, and evaluation of brand marketing/ activation plans, and driving actionable category-focused shopper insights.
The Associate will play a critical role in the acquisition, analysis, interpretation, development, and dissemination of both brand activation and category-level shopper insights. The individual will generate, gather, and integrate various sources of consumer/shopper intelligence that is required to build effective and relevant annual marketing plans. This will require developing a working knowledge of the assigned category dynamics and ?6P?s?, and participating in the annual Brand Audit process. This position will interface directly with CMI Modeling & Analytics, CMI Futures & Capabilities, CMI Customer-Specific Shopper Insights, Category Management, and the Brand Marketing & Brand Development teams. Secondarily, this individual will also interact with Customers and Field Sales in matters where category-level consumer/shopper expertise is required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
BA/BS degree in Marketing/Social Science or Business Administration; Advanced Degree preferred.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in marketing research, with custom survey research expertise in brand/category assignments. Activation, shopper, Syndicated/Panel experience a strong plus.Demonstrated success in project management. Demonstrated ability to be an effective contributor in a cross-functional team environment.Ability to integrate and assimilate consumer information with other data to provide a brand business perspective and brand/category recommendations.Strong analytical and presentation skills. CPG experience and Sales interaction preferred. Must have the ability to tackle complex situations, evaluate alternative courses of action, and provide fact-based solutions/recommendations.Must be skilled in verbal and written communications. Must be able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management.Must work effectively, and in a highly collaborative manner, with other CMI specialists, Brand Marketing, Brand Development, and Category Management.
Candidate should excel technically, to include superior knowledge and application of standard software packages such as PowerPoint and Excel. Familiarity with consumer panels, syndicated data, and CPG marketing/insights will be viewed as a very strong plus.
Must be able to travel.
