Associate Product Marketing Manager/ Clinical Medicine

International Publisher (Scientific,Technical,and Medical) is seeking an Associate Product Marketing Manager professional to plan, create and implement promotional activities for books and journals and electronic media. Areas of expertise; CLINICAL MEDICINE.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

prepare annual promotion plan for all products in assigned disciplines.

generate annual promotion budget and exhibits schedule for disciplines.

write, edit and proofread all pieces.

prepare and present sales conference materials.

work with exhibit management to maximize sales through exhibits and combined publisher exhibits (e.g. staffing, selection of books and jounals displayed).

attend exhibits (approximately 25% travel-domestic and international).

develop mail plan for direct mail campaigns, including timing of mailing and selection and rental of lists.

monitor annual budgets.

interact with and advise Marketing Services, Marketing Communications and In-house Art department regarding quality and accurate production of promotional materials.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

bachelor's degree with minimum 1 year EXPERIENCE IN PROMOTION or MARKETING.

degree in mathematics, science, chemistry,psychology, or marketing a plus.

EXPERIENCE IN THE PUBLISHING INDUSTRY, PARTICULARLY WITHIN A SCIENTIFIC/TECHNICAL/MEDICAL PUBLISHING COMPANY (STM).

excellent communication skills required, including strong COPY WRITING and PROOFREADING skills.

must be well organized, able to set priorities, adhere to strict deadlines, possess excellent follow-up skills.

must have advanced computer skills.

Candidate must possess eagerness to learn.

Candidates with solid marketing and publishing (STM a plus) INTERNSHIPS will be considered.
