Burson-Marsteller seeks an energetic and motivated Associate to work for its Public Affairs practice. Responsibilities include writing and distributing basic materials, developing pitches and working with targeted media on story development, researching and monitoring clients' business and industry to maintain a current knowledge base, assisting in the research and preparation for new business pitches, and assisting in account administration duties such as billing and activity reports, and other related duties. This position provides a terrific opportunity to work with A-list clients!





 Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Communications, Public Relations and/or Public Affairs. A Bachelor's degree is required, as well 2-4 years of Communications or Public Affairs related experience. Individuals must possess excellent communications and organizational skills, prior media relations experience, strong editing and proofing skills, and the ability to prioritize and function efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. A professional demeanor and the ability to interact comfortably with individuals at all levels of business are both essential qualities. A strong PR writing background is ideal. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
