Associate Web Developer

An award-winning Media company in Hackensack, NJ is looking for an Associate Web Developer to add to its growing web development team.  Candidate must be willing to learn and able to work throughout the full application lifecycle.  Responsibilities will include participation in application architecture design, database design, back-end programming, front-end (UI) design, testing and other related activities.  Portfolio and/or samples of past work are required.

 

SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGE

? Microsoft Visual Studio

? SQL Server 2000/2005/Express

? Experience with PhotoShop/Illustrator a plus

? IIS

? Visual SourceSafe a plus

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

? .Net Framework 1.1/2.0

? ASP.Net 1.1/2.0

? C# (knowledge of VB.Net a plus)

? CSS

? HTML/DHTML/XHTML

? JavaScript

? Knowledge of ASP a plus

? N-tiered architecture

? Object-oriented design

? Relational database design

? Test-Driven Design a plus

? TSQL

? Unit Testing with NUnit

? XML/XSL

 

OTHER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

? Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.  Business degree a plus 1-3 years experience in web development or related field.

? Ability to accurately estimate costs/time to complete tasks.

? Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently or in a team.

? Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new concepts and techniques.

? Demonstrated ability to find creative solutions to problems; critical thinking and problem solving.

? Excellent oral and written communication a must.

? Excellent time management, ability to meet deadlines a must.
