Business Editor/Writer

International Profit Associates (www.ipa-iba.com) is seeking a full-time Business Editor/Writer as a team member in the Business Valuations group.  Analysts will work on a variety of assignments in numerous industries encompassing over 900 SIC/NAICS codes.  The Editor/Writer will be creating, proofing developing Business Valuation Summaries in concert with the Business Valuation Analysts and the Department Director.

 

This position is responsible for the quality and completeness of comprehensive reports for closely held companies. The work requires a detail-oriented person who is as comfortable addressing accounting and financial concepts as translating ideas into understandable reports and valuations. The editor will work collaboratively with analysts and Senior Consultants, coordinating information from personnel both in-house and at client sites.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

-Minimum of one year experience in editing business-related publications and reports.

-Analytical, organizational and communication skills

-Strong report writing, analysis, and research skills

-Proficient computer skills (emphasis on Word and Excel)

-Professional presence with strong interpersonal skills (with clients, peers, management, etc.)

-Entrepreneurial initiative and accountability

-Positive, enthusiastic attitude

-Creativity in problem solving and ability to multi-task

-Ability to contribute to a dynamic, innovative and challenging work environment

Education and/or Training:

-Bachelor degree in Journalism or related field.
