Business Writer

Business Writer Responsibilities Develop, research, write and edit internal communications and publication pieces related to sales philosophy, strategies, and business processes

Publish stories and articles related to sales philosophy, strategies, and business processes, on company's sales intranet pages

Coordinate, maintain and refresh the content of Sales intranet on an on-going basis

Coordinate the sales communications plan with various levels of the sales organization
Act as the primary author and contact for internal sales communication materials

Develop and write sales guides for internal publication in collaboration with sales management and other departments

Liaise with Technology Resources and Quality Assurance groups to maintain the sales intranet pages

May serve as editor of other sales communications

Develop and maintain knowledge of communication media

Minimum Qualifications


Direct writing experience with demonstrated competence in creating effective business communications

Knowledge of and ability to employ business English and correct grammar in both verbal and written communications

Initiative and independent work habits

Ability to plan and prioritize a varied workload

Ability to research topics and conduct interviews in order to develop sales articles and stories for internal publication

Working knowledge of the construction of websites using Microsoft Content Management System or similar product

Knowledge of current and emerging internet technologies, HTML authoring, browser technology, computer and desktop publishing, and common office suite software

Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, business, or related field, with three to five years writing experience in public relations, periodicals, and marketing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
