CUSTOMER MARKETING

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Development of detailed marketing plan, that includes market-in plans and strategies and go to market as necessary

* Determine the correct marketing mix

* Strong knowledge of the Media & Entertainment Industry especially cable and media Independent software vendors

* Determine core campaigns, messaging and solutions priorities

* Develop and execute demand creation activities highlighting Sun's offerings

* Drive lead management process, progress opportunities to revenue through targeted marketing, working with sales

* Define budget and other dependencies required for marketing efforts

* Leverage available tools to promote Sun offerings

* Develop and coordinate success stories and reference opportunities with customers

* Plan and implement customer days

* Act as the communication liaison to customer for all SMI priorities and strategies, programs, sponsorships and activities

* Strong marketing skill set and attitude to drive the programs, opportunities and customer delight to completion with the sales teams

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

Star Office, Solaris Operating System, HTML, Siebel CRM Tool



REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

* Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

* Aggressive and articulate sales personality of the consultative style

* Understanding of business trends

* Analytical skills, project management, creative and innovative skills to accomplish tasks, multitasking, embraces change, computer skills, program/activity development/implementation/feedback skills

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:

* Understands business trends, communications and media/entertainment industries and impact on customer's priorities

* Ability to manage and influence beyond own organization to drive activities for the benefit of Sun and customer

* Ability to apply thorough understanding of field marketing to develop, plan and organize complex programs/activities

* Ability to proactively define innovation/improvement that will add cross-functional and cross-divisional value to Sun and customer

* Ability to see big picture and assist with design and implement programs and activities which are flexible to adapt to the business needs of the selling unit, our partners and customers

* Ability to articulate complex business concepts through oral and written communication * Ability to analyze new market industry opportunities

* Ability to utilize ingenuity and creativity in resolving issues and complex problems

* Self starter and ability to work independently

MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION: Bachelors degree
