Case Study Writer/ Customer Reference Coordinator

+ Work with account teams and sales to identify appropriate customers for case study and press release opportunities
+ Approach customer and confirm participation in case study or "success stories"
+ Arrange phone interviews with customer, sales rep and account team to gather data points needed for case study
+ Draft case study and make edits as needed
+ Solicit approvals both from Rackspace and customer
+ Keep a reference database of happy customers, categorized by segment, OS and vertical market. Keep track of how often and by what means the reference is contacted (i.e. sales, PR, analyst, marketing) so that the customer is not over used
+ Update customer database frequently so that new customers are added, old customers are deleted and at risk customers are flagged.
+ Help drive profile of critical customers in targeted vertical markets
+ Work with internal Rackspace teams to develop key messages to drive traction in chosen verticals based on feedback from customers

Required Skills:
+ Excellent writing skills and 2-3 years experience in marketing writing in a technology company
+ BS/BA in English or Journalism
+ Exceptional creative writing skills ability to simplify complex technologies into easily understandable language
+ Excellent writing and editing abilities
+ Good organization and follow-up skills
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Flexible and able to adapt to evolving requirements
+ Ability to manage multiple activities/projects
+ Must learn quickly in a dynamic environment
+ Demonstrate the ability to work against tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
+ Work well in a team environment
