Catalog Marketing/Merchandiser

A.M. Leonard, Inc., a leader in the horticultural industry since 1885, is seeking an experienced and creative Merchandiser to grow revenues for our B2B brands of tools and supplies in a multi-channel environment. This hands-on Marketing position, reporting to the CEO, will be responsible for merchandising strategy and sourcing, product development and placement of product into the company?s catalogs/websites. This position will provide direction to the layout & design team and be involved in copy development and direction of photo shoot assignments and catalog presentation. Position involves planning and forecasting inventory needs.

 

Candidates must have a college degree and a minimum of 3-5 years prior experience in buying for a B2B catalog in the direct marketing industry, specifically in the horticultural community serving the needs of such professional customers as Nurseries, Landscapers, Ground Maintenance Crews, Parks Departments and Arborists. Must be familiar with hardware trends in the industry, be a highly organized strategic thinker with excellent analytical abilities and able to make timely & sound decisions. Must allow for regular travel to Trade Shows and participation in Trade Associations.
