Position Overview
GN Netcom/Jabra has three opportunities for Managers of Channel Marketing. One position will be responsible for the Retail Channel and the other will be responsible for the Carrier Channel. The candidates will serve as individual contributors as well as lead programs and projects that benefit the achievement of the North American revenue and contribution margin plans for the respective channel. You will be accountable for working with the channel marketing director, account managers, directors and VP?s on the overall planning, execution and evaluation of the channel marketing activities and outcomes within your respective channel. The successful candidate will take on proactive personal responsibility for the creation, implementation and evaluation of all programs, activities and outcomes including product ideation and conception, channel programs and promotions phase out and phase in executions as well as end-of-life product and inventory management within the channel. Responsibilities include working with the director and sales teams to gain knowledge of customer interaction and sales process. You will monitor product sales and analyze sales reports and market feedbacks from internal sources, syndicated sources and data in order to identify and track key requirements and competitive performance, opportunities and market share growth and decline for use in marketing and sales planning and programs. Work closely with the marketing product portfolio team to develop, update and evaluate product forecasts. You will have the opportunity to travel to participate in key customer meetings and increase working knowledge of the channel business. Collaborate with the sales and marketing VP?s, operations manager, and product portfolio management team to document and communicate end-of-life roadmaps in order to dispose of excess inventory in a timely and cost effective manner.


Requirements
These positions require a Bachelor?s degree with 8-10 years of combined experience in marketing, general business, and/or sales with increasing roles of responsibility and accountability. Experience in either, telecommunications products and services, or the consumer electronics industry is required. Proven experience in planning and implementing programs in the areas of POS merchandising, channel collateral, product training, channel incentive programs and consumer campaigns involving sales incentives are also required. The successful candidate will be a team player as well as have strong financial and overall business analytics, creativity, excellent communications skills and customer focus. Must be willing to travel up to 35%.
