Circulation Manager

The Circulation Manager will manage a staff of two Circulation Analysts and the functional duties required to select, analyze, mail and report on catalog circulation initiatives. These duties include forecasting of segment performance, associated catalog costs, customer file inventories, and catalog demand in effort and seasonal summary. This position requires detailed analytical superiority and the ability to resolve problems within a fast paced cyclical production environment. The Catalog Circulation Manager will be directed to implement strategies within production cycles derived from ongoing analytical findings. The Catalog Circulation Manager will insure that the technical requirements for name selection are functioning correctly to meet stated circulation objectives.

 

 

Bachelor?s degree (B.A/S.); plus at least 5 years business experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Job Essentials

(Include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.)

 

?  Produce regular catalog segment updates forecast to life of book including

o  Weekly segment performance updates

o  All catalog costs

o  Segment and catalog profitability

o  Catalog testing performance detail and summaries

?  Monitor and report on customer file inventories including

o  New to file buyers

o  Existing buyers

?  Manage and Execute where necessary selections for catalog mailings including house file and list rental prospects

?  Manage the daily duties of catalog circulation including but not limited to contact with:

o  List Brokers

o  Catalog Printers

o  Service Bureaus

o  Catalog Fulfillment House

o  Catalog Call Center

o  Distribution Center

?  Assimilate, format and reconcile all costs associated with catalog circulation

?  Partner with Call Center to provide relevant Per Drop Catalog Information

?  Partner with peer managers in the Marketing Department as needed

?  Manage the forecasting and purchasing of paper requirements
