The Communication Consultant position is within Fidelity’s Human Resources Services Company (FHRS). FHRS provides benefits outsourcing services to Fortune 500 companies within the Fidelity Employer Services Company (FESCo). The benefits outsourcing business encompasses Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution, Health & Insurance, and Human Resources/Payroll administration & services.
As the primary day-to-day client communications contact the ongoing responsibilities for this role include:
o Manage projects end-to-end and manage resources to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
o Interact with multiple levels within the client organizations to gather information, assess needs, provide project status updates and advise clients on products and services.
o Develop and execute Communication Strategies, Project Plans and Status Reports to monitor client projects.
o Oversee the development, editing and proofing of all communication materials so that they comply with ERISA, NASD and SEC regulations.
o Manage multiple projects with competing priorities while providing staff or team direction.
o As the primary communications contact, balance the client needs with client budget and metrics by proposing approaches that fit within budget restraints.
o Analyze Plan specific materials and develop a working knowledge of each clients plan provisions and educate business partners as appropriate.
o Act as a knowledgeable resource for client and internal business partners on communication services, compliance issues and industry trends.
o Negotiate compromises and cost sharing agreements when necessary to assure successful resolution of escalated issues.
o Travel to client meetings




BA/BS required

Experience in employee benefits communication and/or financial services preferred

Knowledge of communication theory and practice

Knowledge of recordkeeping and other outsourcing services

Working knowledge of NASD / ERISA and other regulatory standards

Strong influence, negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills

Strong project management skills

Working knowledge of communication process from writing and design through distribution across multiple media (print, internet, video)

Ability to write and/or edit readable, user-friendly copy and integrate graphics to enhance message

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Flexibility and ability to deal with change

Ability to give creative direction

Strong presentation / communication skills

Ability to manage and service multiple projects
