Communications Design Specialist
The department is responsible for designing communications strategies and plans for Countrywide?s Loan Administration divisions. Duties involve preparing high visibility, strategically important communications materials, including speeches, presentations and memorandums for internal and external audiences. Audiences may include external investors, business partners, attorneys, brokers, title companies and internal groups such as employees (from executive level to front line), originating entities and corporate PR.
The Communications Design Specialist will be primarily responsible for producing a variety of design and presentation communication materials for high-level business executives.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Creative conception and design of high-level projects.
- Create graphics and collateral materials for new projects. Maintain branding standards and guidelines in all materials. Ensure finished products are cost efficient and meet expectations, timelines and standards.
- Logo and design development for existing and emerging programs.
- Review/refresh existing materials, with possible contributions to existing web sites.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the company, culture and image, through training and education programs.
A successful candidate will have:
- 4-year college degree (Bachelor or equivalent), specialized study and/or professional experience in Art/Animation. BA in Art or other related field preferred.
- Ability to work well in a corporate environment, while maintaining a sense of creativity and vision.
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and take design projects from concept to completion.
- Ability to with tight deadlines to produce materials for executives with varying styles and preferences.
- Experience and ability to design and produce graphics including impressive PowerPoint presentations, animation, high quality charts and graphs (converted from Excel), logos, and possibly video and web design.
- Excellent creative conception and strong skills in computer software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, flash, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel).
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
-Ability to prioritize work in order to manage timetables and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and ability to work within a corporate environment.
- Ability to explain and graphically illustrate complex technical topics concisely and effectively.
- Good analytical skills.
- Knowledge of common design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Adobe Acrobat is critical.
- Knowledge of business based software such as PowerPoint and Excel is also important to this position.
- Graphics application program experience (Photoshop, Illustrator, Photoshop, flash).
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to take direction, understand concepts, and critique from senior executives.
- Work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
- Adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business and technical environment.
An ideal candidate may also possess:
- Knowledge of web design.
