Communications Manager

Money Management International, the country?s largest credit counseling and debt management service provider, is seeking Communications Manager who ceates, implements and oversees communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products and services. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

?  Develop and recommend media strategies, objectives and plans that will strengthen MMI?s position within the credit counseling industry.

?  Manage a strong and highly productive working relationship with MMI?s PR agency and contract employees.

?  Review and distribute columns, press releases, PSAs and written materials to ensure that they support the company?s goals and messages.

?  Develop and maintain a topical editorial calendar to guarantee consistent messaging.

?  Manage and coordinate corporate media training.

?  Manage corporate media communication by maintaining a close working relationship with the Director, Corporate & Community Relations, and by acting as the liaison between the media and corporate spokespersons.

?  Respond to media inquiries by arranging interviews with appropriate corporate or field spokesperson and providing them with the background material and subject data they need for a successful interview.

?  Write and edit copy for various marketing materials including consumer and creditor literature, websites, new product pieces, educational articles and client newsletters.

?  Monitor and report press coverage to determine effectiveness of PR activities and maintains corporate clip file.

?  Provide email updates with recent release and column topics to all corporate spokespersons.

?  Develop and manage a PR intranet page containing resources and tools for spokespersons.

?  Maintain corporate media database and media client database.

?  Prepare executive presentations and other internal communications as required.

?  Manage the employee newsletter and other assigned employee communications.

?  Other duties and projects as assigned by The Marketing Director and/or the VP, Business Services.



 

Education and Experience:

?  Bachelors degree in related field such as Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or equivalent work experience.

?  Experience in communications, public relations, marketing and advertising a plus. 

?  5+ years work experience in communications, public relations, marketing and/or advertising required.
