Communications Project Manager (HR Related, with desktop publishing experience)
This position manages large-scale internal and human resources communication projects, including project team leadership, project planning, and implementation. Collaborates with various corporate and subsidiary clients. Assesses business and corporate communication needs and recommends appropriate and effective communication plans. Prepares and presents business cases, as appropriate. Builds and maintains internal client relationships. Plans, develops and implements communication strategy and content appropriate to each program, its audience and the desired outcome. Provides writing, editing, desktop publishing, online content management and graphics creation for corporate communications initiatives. Manages vendor relationships, including but not limited to printers, designers, translation services, copy services, collateral suppliers, and fulfillment services. Leads collaboration across subsidiary strategic teams that evaluate, align and recommend communication processes and initiatives. This position reports to the Manager of Internal Communications.
Requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field such as journalism, communications, or marketing; and a minimum of six years experience in corporate communications, public relations, human resources communications, marketing, journalism or related field. Demonstrated experience in Internal and/or HR communications strongly preferred. Requires a demonstrated success in launching and/or managing complex communications programs. Requires strong people skills, including the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a variety of executives, subject matter experts, the corporate HR team, and others. Requires leadership skills, particularly experience leading interdepartmental project teams. Requires excellent writing skills, excellent project management skills, and a variety of software such as Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Quark.
