Community Outreach Manager

Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
1. Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with media players, portals, communities, content partners, and other media platforms to drive awareness and traffic to NBC.com initiatives. Obtain, distribute and report on content syndication efforts with third party strategic partners.
2. Organize campaign wrap reports including: maintain reporting process, calculate impressions, request traffic summaries and analyze to ensure accuracy, video stream tracking, organize screenshots, review reports with managers and develop client reports with analysis on success factors.
3. Provide ongoing daily analysis of online traffic including:
a. Tracking of online media campaigns impact on site traffic
b. Tracking and reporting of on-air and off-channel promotion impacts on online traffic
Provide regular updates to senior management on best practices based on analysis of above tactics.
4. Coordinate internal communications plan, reporting on NBC.com successes and best practices to NBC.com, NBC and NBC Universal senior management.
5. Track marketing priorities, including NBC.com campaigns, joint online efforts with The NBC Agency, Digital Marketing and Sales.
6. Aid in the coordination of cross-promotional opportunities with other NBC Universal companies to drive traffic to NBC.com
7. Assist in the coordination of Affiliate and O&O station cross-promotional strategies including recommending content asset and promotional packages that result in increased traffic to NBC.com
8. Assist in coordinating viral and community outreach programs; track link backs; capture screenshots and track referrer traffic; establish persona in external communities for promotional purposes.
9. Assist with development and moderation/maintenance of internal community features, including personalization, user generated content, SMS and/or local affiliations.
10. Assist with general marketing office support.
Qualifications/Requirements:
3+ years related experience in marketing and promotions including account planning, client interaction, campaign planning, strategizing and execution.
BA in Marketing, Communications or related field.
General computer knowledge is required (Microsoft Office), as is experience with software applications necessary to complete projects (including Powerpoint, Excel, Word).
Desired:
MBA preferred.
Must possess excellent problem solving skills.
Must be a "self-starter" as well as work in a group project environment.
Must be able to prepare and maintain software documentation.
Must be able to organize and schedule a high workload, efficiently.
Must have flexible and friendly personality to interface closely the production staff.
Must be able to communicate effectively with others (staff, management, vendors, etc.).
Must be able to understand a user's needs and translate them into an application environment
Working knowledge of online community development or viral marketing experience preferred.
Entertainment Agency, TV, Film, Home Video or Packaged Goods marketing experience a plus.
Negotiation and strategic marketing skills are essential.
Must excel in project organization and management.
Individual must be extremely web savvy and understand the latest Internet trends and features.
General:
Support the NBC.com Strategic Marketing Group by aiding in the development of marketing campaign planning, execution and analysis, coordinating and maintaining third-party partnerships that drive traffic to NBC.com; aiding in campaign tracking and analysis, developing presentation materials; moderating user-generated content; tracking, maintaining and/or archiving community outreach efforts to external sites; aiding in the development of new community features and sections within NBC.com; and other limited administrative duties as needed.
