Community Sales Director

At Atria Senior Living Group, we offer our special brand of retirement and assisted living in communities from coast to coast. Atria Marland Place, a member of Atria Senior Living Group, has an exciting opportunity for a SALES PROFESSIONAL to fill the role of Community Sales Director.

 

Our communities are private pay, which means state assistance and other forms of subsidized payments may not be accepted. Therefore, in order to make our business grow, we must go above and beyond the normal expectations of our customers?and our competitors. Delivering exceptional service begins with our Community Sales Directors.

 

When families are looking for assisted living services, they are looking for help at a time of great significance and have often been referred by someone they trust. Most of our inquiries are generated through a strong sales effort among professionals including physicians, discharge planners, clergy and other senior service providers. A Community Sales Directors must be professional, motivated, helpful and influential when speaking with these referral sources.

 

Because everyone?s situation, and how he or she handles it, is unique, it is important to be a good listener and a resource for family members and their loved ones: They are people facing decisions about a lifestyle change for themselves and someone they love. You will be a part of the Atria team who works to make those decisions and transitions easier.

 

A Community Sales Director?s job includes the things most typical sales positions entail, such as managing multiple prospects, having clear goals and receiving great commission. In addition, working in an Atria community means working with people, and this means you will have the opportunity to problem solve, help others and improve lives every day. You will use your head and sell from the heart.

 Your Opportunity

Your goal as a Community Sales Director is to grow occupancy and keep every apartment in your community occupied. Your opportunity lies in creative and strategic thinking about generating that growth. Your efforts are rewarded with incentives tied directly to your results. The possibilities are limitless.

 

Outside of the community, you will be responsible for gaining professional referrals for your community by building relationships and partnerships in the outside community, through networking, sales calls and lead-generating events. You will become a reliable resource within your professional network, which means being someone who can respond quickly to others? needs and make their jobs easier.

 

Inside the community, you will work to successfully manage leads. You will provide support to potential residents and families throughout the decision-making process and effectively follow up with them in a way that is meaningful and produces results.

 

Also, your individual performance is rewarded by meeting and exceeding your business goal of occupancy growth. Specifically, you receive a bonus commission that is equal to a fixed percentage of the revenue generated by each new resident during his or her first month or residency. The total month?s revenue includes rent, care services and any fees. And, there is no limit to the amount you can earn each month. Our attractive bonus plan is one way Atria ensures that we retain the best people to serve our residents, families and referral sources.

 

 

Community Sales Directors must:

 

?  Maintain high occupancy in his or her community;

?  be able to identify opportunities for appropriate, qualified referrals;

?  be able to convey to those referral sources who the appropriate, qualified potential resident is for your community;

?  be able to effectively manage their time and keep commitments; must be able to work some evenings and weekends as needed

?  be able to prioritize all projects both inside and outside the community to achieve occupancy goals;

?  be a team player motivating everyone to success;

?  have a positive attitude;

?  be a self-starter with a creative and energetic attitude;

?  have a strong work ethic;

?  be able to formulate a plan to achieve sales goals including appropriate levels of follow-up on all inquiries;

?  be able to accurately document sales activity in the computer, using Atria?s inquiry management system, in a timely manner.

Requirement

The successful candidate will have 3 - 5 years experience in outside sales with a relevant market. Experience in healthcare a plus. Undergraduate degree preferred.
