Competitive Intelligence Analyst

Akerman Senterfitt, a large national law firm, has an immediate opening for a Competitive Intelligence Analyst.  This position will report directly to the firm's Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer and will be responsible for conducting and analyzing high level market research data to assist the firm in identifying, developing, implementing, and achieving its strategic goals. Additional responsibilities include managing multiple databases and collateral materials to establish and maintain critical information for business development efforts; evaluating and initiating client/prospect research; evaluating data to measure effectiveness of client service and business development programs; developing relevant white papers for all firm practice group leaders; conducting intelligence gathering on lateral acquisitions and legal acquisitions; assisting with high level business development client pitches and RFPs; and developing reports and presentations highlighting findings.  Incumbent will also prepare, analyze and present research findings to multi-functional departments and senior management.  This position will be based in the Firm's Miami office.

 

Requirements include a BA in Marketing, Communications, Library Services or related field, with 10+ years of professional market research experience, preferably in a law firm or government setting. Creativity, excellent leadership, organizational, written and oral communication skills are a must, along with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, respond to competing demands, and consistently meet deadlines under pressure.  Successful candidates will also possess an outstanding service orientation, excellent team-working skills and be able to quickly adapt to the Firm's highly-driven and dynamic setting.
