Kelly Engineering Resources had the need for a contract Content Manager to support our East Hanover based client in this 6 month plus temporary position.

Communications Specialist / Content Manager

Daily content management of major internal communications channels: intranet site, on-site video screens, and e-mail broadcast system.
Design and manage content for screens, including online publishing, image selection, interactive media, polling, surveys, and forms.
Manage e-mail broadcasting system and distribution of employee e-mails.
Ensure consistency and continuity of communications messages and branding standards across channels, and seamless integration of channels.
Proofread all content before publishing.
Provide sound editorial judgment and support for online communication materials ' e.g. headline, caption creation.
Act as liaison with IT on technical issues (intranet and e-mail broadcast), as needed.
As needed, manage content and maintenance of external Web site

Required Skills
Daily intranet content management experience
Content management systems and software 'experience with Interwoven a plus; familiarity with Plumtree portal software; basic HTML
Editorial ' online copy editing, short features, headline creation, good editorial judgment
Graphic design / Photoshop image editing. Online design experience necessary; print experience helpful.
Project management; ability to meet tight deadlines while working on multiple projects
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and e-mail systems (Lotus Notes experience helpful)
Understanding of web search technologies and web metrics a plus.

Education: Minimum undergraduate degree in Communications or related discipline.
Work experience: 3 - 5+ years of professional communications experience, with experience in daily content management of intranet sites. Must have experience working in corporate environment.
