Corporate Designer

Overview:  AutoTrader.com is seeking a creative professional to design and maintain its branding efforts across a variety of internal and external communications. The Corporate Designer will work with the Internal Communications and Dealer Marketing teams to ensure professional, consistent, and creative design, while effectively positioning and translating the AutoTrader.com brand throughout all communications.

 

Reporting to the Corporate Design Manager, this position requires the ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment. Successful candidates must be capable of implementing the AutoTrader.com (ATC) brand in the design of online and offline communications.

 

Responsibilities:

? Ability to develop communications that reflect the brand strategy and achieve high impact original design.

? Conceptualization and design execution of internal communications including, but not limited to: campaign elements for major company announcements (including: posters, flash banner ads, fliers, HTML email) and existing internal communication programs (monthly magazine and internal portal).

? Conceptualization and design execution of external communications including, but not limited to: creating sales material, customizing sales collateral templates, updating existing external communication programs (email newsletter and internal sales portal).

? Ensure that designs are produced on budget, within timeframes, and with a high degree of quality.

? Ensure proper brand and logo usage within the organization, working with the advertising agencies to remain consistent with the overall brand.

? Provide marketing support for presentation materials, public relations needs, and advertising communications.

? Be knowledgeable and proficient in emerging computer tools and techniques with graphics applications.

 

Qualifications: 

? 3+ years of experience in Marketing/Advertising/Communications design and creative development.

? A portfolio of strong design and application capabilities.

? Experience with the development, design, and management of online and offline communications, with emphasis on offline.

? The ability to think strategically and work autonomously when required.

? The ability to work on multiple projects at one time and under tight deadlines.

? Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

? Exceptional interpersonal skills coupled with a positive, energetic attitude.

? Ability to collaborate effectively with corporate departments, Cox subsidiaries, and the AutoTrader.com team.

? The ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and to adjust to changes in timelines and project goals.

? Experience using tools such as Macromedia Flash, Fireworks, Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesgin, and Quark X-press

? Bachelor of Fine Arts, or related degree.
