Corporate Pricing/Retention Data Analyst

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Performs monthly analysis on the subscriber database.
2. Performs data mining for ad-hoc reporting, displaying results in a manner that is easy to comprehend and understand.
3. Will work with other team members to perform profitability measures on our internal subscriber database.
4. Extracts and analyzes data retrieved from the data warehouse.
5. Monitors and verifies consistency throughout the company in all pricing/retention processes.
6. Understand billing system, and the relationship the billing system has with the data warehouse.
7. Identifies opportunities and concerns based on analysis, potential revenue loss or gain and communicate to appropriate levels of management.
8. Works with the IS department and the billing department when necessary to develop procedures for the various departments to help maintain consistency.
9. Meets and exceeds team member expectations by providing service and department teamwork;
? Provides value added service to customers by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations;
? Demonstrates teamwork by cooperating with and assisting co-workers as needed;
? Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers and management;
? Performs other duties as required to provide excellent service and teamwork;
8. Assist the pricing/retention group in creating and maintaining relevant reports generated through multiple sources.
9. Adheres to policies and procedures as outlined in the employee policy manual
10. Performs other duties on special projects from time to time as needed.
11. Maintain confidentiality of all customer and company information.

Must have general knowledge of SQL. Must understand the concepts and structures of an Oracle database. Must be knowledgeable in development and implementation of new ideas/policies. Must determine creative concepts and how effective the outcome will be. Must be able to handle internal communications (i.e. selling ideas and opportunities). Resourceful - know where and how to get pertinent information to complete projects. Ability to exercise independent judgment. Must be analytical and math oriented. Must be organized (able to handle several projects at one time). Must be motivated (able to work effectively with little supervision). Bachelors Degree required and 3 + years experience in an analytical or data mining field. Wireless telecommunications experience preferred. Must have working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of business applications. Knowledge and experience in writing complex SQL queries.
