Creative Services Manager

The Creative Services Manager is an individual with strong artistic aptitude and will be responsible for managing a team of approximately 5-10 full-time and contract staff. Candidate must have the ability to develop a concept strategy that attracts, engages and communicates to our clients and their chosen audience. In addition, this position will fulfill all leadership tasks and be responsible for concept, estimation & delivery of materials for all assigned client projects.

 

As a leader, the Creative Services Manager will direct the cross-disciplinary development and execution of project specific creative strategies for a variety of business channels. The position is likewise responsible for representing and communicating the organizations business philosophy, methodology and capabilities to clients and potential clients throughout the enterprise.



BA/BS in graphic design, illustration or fine arts with at least eight years of professional experience in graphic design, creating materials in a corporate setting.

 

Five years management experience required.

 

Broad understanding of creative design, production, and print techniques. Functional graphic design expertise is mandatory, as are team management & client facing skills. The Creative Services Manager should have impeccable customer service, communication & interpersonal skills with clients, direct reports and peer groups.

 

As a member of the management team, the ability to assess and document processes for refinement and improvement are highly valued skills. Candidates should understand the importance of process metrics and be able to manage teams and individuals based on performance against those metrics to ensure execution capacity and delivery remains consistent.

 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a requirement.

 

Technical requirements include strong proficiency in QuarkXPress, Adobe Creative Suite, PowerPoint, FlightCheck, and the Microsoft Office suite, as well as exacting design & typographic principles.
